Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the base reservoir.
  3. Clean tank and base: Use a soft cloth or brush with a mixture of mild dish soap and cool water. Do not submerge the base in water.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  5. Wipe all surfaces dry with a clean, soft cloth.
  6. For disinfection (monthly): Use a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water to wipe interior surfaces. Rinse thoroughly.
  7. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and using.

Tip: Always use clean, cool tap water to minimize mineral deposits. If white dust appears, use distilled water or replace the filter.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter (Model HWF-101) should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when discolored or clogged.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier. Remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the soaked filter into the frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Reassemble the unit and fill with water.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. Using a worn-out filter reduces performance and may cause white dust.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-off: Unit will shut off if tipped over or when the tank is empty. Low Water Indicator: Refill light alerts when tank is empty. Antimicrobial Tank: Inhibits growth of mold and mildew.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all water from the tank and base.
  2. Clean and disinfect all parts as described in the cleaning section.
  3. Allow all parts to dry completely.
  4. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store with a used, wet filter.
  5. Reassemble the unit and store in its original box or a clean, dry place.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water inside. Always ensure it is completely dry to prevent mold growth.
