Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, level, waterproof surface away from electronics and furniture.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the tank and base.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove from package, soak in cool water for 15-20 minutes, then insert into the filter frame in the base.
  3. Fill the tank: Carry tank to sink, remove cap, fill with cool tap water up to the fill line. Replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank on base: Align tank with base and set down firmly. Ensure it is seated properly to activate the valve.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only cool tap water. Do not use hot water, additives, or essential oils. Ensure unit is on a level surface to prevent leakage.

First-Time Use

After installation, follow these steps to begin operation.

  1. Power on: Plug in the unit. The Power Indicator Light will illuminate.
  2. Set humidity: Turn the Humidistat Control Knob to your desired setting (e.g., 45-50% for comfort).
  3. Adjust mist direction: Rotate the Mist Outlet nozzle to direct moisture away from walls and furniture.
  4. Monitor operation: The unit will begin producing a cool mist. The Refill Indicator Light will turn on when the tank is empty.

CAUTION! Do not block the mist outlet. Keep out of reach of children. Place at least 12 inches from walls.

Controls and Operation

Primary controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Humidistat Control Knob: Turn clockwise to increase humidity output, counter-clockwise to decrease. Set to desired comfort level (typically 30-50% RH).

Indicator Lights: Power Light (blue) indicates unit is on. Refill Light (red) illuminates when tank is empty and needs refilling.

Automatic Operation: The humidifier will run until the desired humidity level is reached or the tank is empty, at which point it will shut off automatically.

Manual Override: To run continuously, turn the humidistat knob to the maximum setting.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential for performance and to prevent microbial growth.

  1. Daily: Refill tank with fresh, cool water. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Deep clean tank and base.
    • Unplug unit. Remove tank and empty any remaining water.
    • Fill tank with 1 cup of white vinegar and cool water. Swirl and let sit for 20 minutes.
    • Scrub interior with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
    • Wipe base and mist outlet with a vinegar-dampened cloth. Rinse and dry.
  3. Monthly: Inspect filter and replace if discolored or clogged (see Filter Replacement).

WARNING! Never immerse base unit in water. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or detergents.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter (Model HF-60) should be replaced every 1-2 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15-20 minutes before installation.
  4. Insert the damp filter into the frame, ensuring it is seated flat and fully.
  5. Replace the tank, plug in the unit, and resume operation.

Tip: Using distilled or demineralized water can extend filter life. Always use genuine Honeywell replacement filters.

Safety Features

Care & Storage
