Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a firm, flat, level surface at least 12 inches from walls.

  1. Remove the water tank from the base.
  2. Remove the filter from its packaging and install it into the filter frame in the base.
  3. Fill the tank with cool, clean water. Do not use hot water or additives.
  4. Place the tank back onto the base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Use only clean, cool tap or distilled water. Do not operate without the filter installed. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Use

After setup, power on the humidifier and configure initial settings.

  1. Turn the Humidistat knob to the desired humidity level (e.g., 45-50% for comfort).
  2. Select a fan speed using the Speed button (Low for quiet night use, High for quick humidification).
  3. The unit will run until the desired humidity is reached, then cycle on/off automatically.
  4. Monitor the Refill Indicator Light; refill tank when light illuminates.

CAUTION! Always turn the unit off and unplug it before refilling, cleaning, or servicing.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  1. Unplug the unit. Remove the tank and empty any remaining water.
  2. Separate the tank from the base. Remove the filter.
  3. Clean the tank with a mixture of mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe the base interior and exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse base in water.
  5. Clean the filter by rinsing it under cool water if it is not due for replacement. Gently squeeze out excess water.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.
  7. For disinfecting, use a solution of 1 teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water, rinse thoroughly afterward.

Tip: Use distilled water to minimize mineral deposits and extend filter life.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank and the old filter from the base.
  3. Insert the new Honeywell HRF-3 (or compatible) filter into the filter frame.
  4. Reassemble the tank and base.
  5. Reset the filter indicator (if your model has one) by pressing and holding the FILTER button for 3 seconds.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter. A dirty filter reduces performance and can harbor bacteria.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when tank is empty or improperly seated. Tip-Over Protection: Some models may shut off if tipped. Over-Humidity Prevention: Humidistat prevents excessive moisture.

Care & Storage

At the end of the season or for extended non-use:
