Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  2. Clean the Tank: Wash with a mild detergent and warm water. Use a soft brush to scrub interior. Rinse thoroughly. Do not immerse the tank cap in water.
  3. Clean the Base: Wipe the exterior with a damp, soft cloth. To clean the interior reservoir, add a mixture of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let sit for 20 minutes, then scrub with a soft brush. Rinse multiple times with clean water.
  4. Clean the Filter Frame: Rinse with clean water to remove dust or sediment.
  5. Dry Completely: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and using.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Never immerse the motorized base in water.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months during the season, or when visibly coated with mineral deposits or discolored.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Take the new HRF-2 filter (or equivalent) out of its packaging.
  4. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Insert the soaked filter into the filter frame, ensuring it is properly seated.
  6. Reassemble the tank and plug in the unit.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a dirty filter can reduce performance and may void the warranty.
