Specifications

Controls and Operation

Control Knob: Turn clockwise to increase humidity output (LOW to HIGH). Humidistat Dial: Set to desired room humidity level (e.g., 30-50% RH).

Operation: After filling and plugging in, turn knob to desired setting. The unit will run until the desired humidity is reached or the tank is empty. The filter change indicator light will illuminate when it's time to replace the wicking filter.

Tip: For best results, keep doors closed to the room being humidified. Ideal indoor humidity is between 30% and 50%.

Filling the Water Tank

  1. Turn the humidifier off and unplug it from the outlet.
  2. Lift the tank off the base by the handle.
  3. Carry tank to sink. Turn it upside down and unscrew the cap on the bottom.
  4. Fill with cool, clean tap water. Do not use hot water or add additives.
  5. Screw the cap back on tightly. Wipe any excess water from the tank.
  6. Return tank to base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  7. Plug in the unit and turn the control knob to the desired setting.

CAUTION! Always unplug the unit before moving, filling, or cleaning. Do not overfill. Never immerse base in water.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty any remaining water from tank and base.
  3. Clean tank with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Swirl and rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe base interior with a soft cloth dampened with the vinegar solution. Do not submerge base.
  5. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and using.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. Do not allow water to enter the motor or electrical parts in the base.

Replacing the Filter

The wicking filter (HWF045) should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when the filter change light is on, or if performance decreases.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the damp filter into the base, ensuring it fits snugly around the filter frame.
  5. Replace the water tank and plug in the unit.
  6. Press and hold the "Filter Reset" button (if present) for 3 seconds to reset the filter change indicator light.

Note: Use only genuine Honeywell replacement filters for optimal performance and safety.
