Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh, cool water. Do not let water sit for more than 24 hours.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: Unplug. Empty tank and base. Clean tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) to remove film or scale. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Filter Care: Rinse filter under cool water every 1-2 weeks to remove mineral deposits. Replace filter every 1-3 months, or as needed.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.

CAUTION! Do not use harsh chemicals, detergents, or abrasives. Do not immerse the base unit in water. Unplug before any cleaning.

Filter Replacement

Replace the filter regularly for optimal performance and air quality.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new HWF-360 filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the new, wet filter into the filter frame in the base.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then refill with water.

Note: A worn-out filter may reduce mist output, cause noise, or lead to white dust. Always use genuine Honeywell replacement filters.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as per weekly cleaning instructions.
  3. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store with a used filter installed.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely.
  5. Reassemble and store in the original box or a clean, dry place.

CAUTION! Never store with water in the tank. Ensure unit is completely dry to prevent mold.
