Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect all contents. Choose a suitable location.

  1. Select Location: Place on a firm, level, waterproof floor surface away from direct heat sources and electronics.
  2. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially from walls and furniture, for proper airflow.
  3. Prepare Filter: Remove wick filter from packaging. If required, soak it in cool water for 15-20 minutes before first use.
  4. Install Filter: Insert the saturated wick filter into the filter frame or slot inside the base unit.
  5. Assemble Tank: Fill the water tank with clean, cool water. Place tank securely onto or into the base unit.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not place on carpets or uneven surfaces. Always use clean, cool water. Never use hot water or additives.

First-Time Setup

Power on the humidifier; set initial controls.

  1. Initial Fill: Fill the tank completely with cool water and place it on the base. Listen for water flowing into the base.
  2. Power On: Press the Power button. The Power Indicator should light up.
  3. Set Humidity: Turn the Humidistat dial or press buttons to set your desired room humidity level (e.g., 40-50%).
  4. Select Fan Speed: Choose a fan speed (Low, Medium, High) for your preferred balance of moisture output and quietness.
  5. Monitor Output: Check that moisture is being emitted from the grill and that the fan is running smoothly.

CAUTION! Handle the water tank with care to avoid spills. Do not overfill. Ensure the unit is upright before plugging in.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access controls via the front panel. Front Panel: POWER Button, HUMIDISTAT Control, FAN SPEED Button, REFILL Indicator, FILTER CHANGE Indicator.

Operation: Use the Humidistat to set a target humidity level; the unit will cycle on/off to maintain it. Fan Speed controls airflow and evaporation rate. A higher speed increases output but may be louder.

Indicators: REFILL light turns on when the water level is low. FILTER CHANGE light illuminates when it's time to replace the wick filter (typically every 1-3 months).

Filling & Operation

For daily use and refilling the water tank.

  1. Turn Off & Unplug: For safety, turn the unit off and unplug it from the outlet before refilling.
  2. Remove Tank: Lift the water tank off the base unit and carry it to a sink.
  3. Fill Tank: Remove the cap. Fill with clean, cool tap water. Do not use hot water or additives.
  4. Replace Tank: Securely place the filled tank back onto the base. You will hear water flowing into the reservoir.
  5. Power On: Plug the unit back in and press the Power button. The unit will resume operation at your previous settings.
  6. Automatic Operation: The humidifier will run until the desired humidity is reached or the tank is empty, then cycle off.

Tip: Refill the tank before the REFILL light comes on for continuous operation. Use distilled water to minimize mineral deposits if you have hard water.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold, bacteria, and mineral buildup.

  1. Frequency: Clean the tank and base at least once a week during use, or as directed.
  2. Unplug & Empty: Always unplug the unit. Remove and empty the water tank and base reservoir.
  3. Clean Tank: Wash the tank with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean Base: Wipe the base interior and all surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water) to descale. Rinse with clean water.
  5. Dry Completely: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and refilling.
  6. Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

WARNING! Never immerse the motor unit or electrical parts in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter must be replaced regularly for optimal performance and air quality.

  1. Indicator: Replace the filter when the FILTER CHANGE indicator lights up, or every 1-3 months (more often in hard water areas).

  3. Unplug Unit: Turn off and unplug the humidifier. Remove the water tank.
  4. Access Filter: Open the filter compartment or grill to access the old wick filter.

Care & Storage

Proper care extends the life of your humidifier.

End of Season Storage:

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all water from the tank and base.
  2. Perform a thorough cleaning as described in Section 8.
