Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a level, stable surface away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the humidifier.
  2. Install the wick filter: Remove from packaging, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into the filter frame.
  3. Fill the water tank: Remove the tank cap, fill with cool, clean tap water (do not use hot water or additives). Replace cap securely.
  4. Position the tank: Place the filled tank back onto the base unit, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Plug into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not place on uneven or wet surfaces. Ensure the unit is upright before plugging in. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier; the digital display will illuminate.

  1. Set desired humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to select a level between 35% and 65% RH.
  2. Select fan speed: Press the SPEED button to cycle through Low, Medium, and High settings.
  3. Set the timer (optional): Press the TIMER button to set a run duration (2, 4, 8, 12 hours).
  4. The humidistat will automatically cycle the unit on and off to maintain the set humidity level.
  5. Monitor the water level via the digital indicator or empty tank light.

CAUTION! Use only clean, cool tap water. Do not operate without the wick filter installed. Do not block air inlet or outlet grilles.

  6. Refill the tank when the empty tank light illuminates or the water level is low.

Tip: Use a hygrometer to monitor room humidity independently for accuracy.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and ensures efficient operation.

  1. Daily: Check and refill water tank as needed.
  2. Weekly: Clean the tank and base with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. As Needed: Descale mineral deposits using a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let soak for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse.
  4. Always unplug the unit and empty all water before cleaning.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembling and using.

WARNING! Never immerse the base unit, control panel, or cord in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.

Filter Replacement

The antimicrobial wick filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old wick filter from the frame.
  3. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the new, soaked filter into the frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Replace the tank and plug in the unit.
  6. Press and hold the FILTER RESET button for 3 seconds to reset the filter indicator light.

CAUTION! Do not operate the humidifier without a filter. Use only genuine Honeywell replacement filters (Model HC18A-FLT).
