Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.

  1. Choose location: Install on supply duct of forced-air system, near a drain and water source.
  2. Mount unit: Use provided bracket to secure humidifier to duct or wall.
  3. Connect water supply: Attach 1/4" water line to inlet valve; ensure shut-off valve is accessible.
  4. Connect drain line: Attach hose to drain valve and route to suitable drain.
  5. Connect power: Plug into dedicated 120V outlet; ensure proper grounding.
  6. Connect to HVAC: Wire control to furnace/thermostat per wiring diagram.

WARNING! Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician. Ensure power is off before wiring.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on unit and configure settings.

  1. Set humidistat: Adjust desired humidity level (typically 35-45% for most homes).
  2. Test operation: Turn on furnace blower; unit should begin generating steam.
  3. Check for leaks: Inspect water and drain connections during first cycle.
  4. Calibrate (if needed): Follow manual for humidistat calibration relative to outdoor temperature.

CAUTION! Do not set humidity too high to prevent condensation on windows. Allow unit to complete initial startup cycle.

Specifications

Controls and Settings
