  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not place on carpets or uneven surfaces. Ensure the unit is upright before filling. Always use two hands to carry a filled water tank.

First-Time Use

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the tank and base. Follow these steps to begin operation.

  1. Ensure the humidifier is unplugged. Remove the water tank.
  2. Clean the tank and base with a mild detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not submerge the base unit.
  3. Fill the tank with clean, cool water and place it back on the base.
  4. Plug in the power cord. Turn the Power Switch to the ON (I) position.
  5. Turn the Humidistat Control Knob to your desired setting (start at MEDIUM).
  6. The unit will begin to humidify. The Refill Indicator Light will illuminate when the tank is empty.

CAUTION! Never operate the humidifier without water. Do not move the unit while it is operating or filled with water.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or solvents. Do not immerse the base unit in water.

Water Tank Handling

Proper handling prevents spills and damage.

  1. Always carry the tank using both hands, one on the handle and one supporting the bottom.
  2. Fill the tank in a bathtub, sink, or using a hose to avoid over-spilling.
  3. When placing the tank on the base, align it carefully and lower it straight down until it seats firmly.
  4. If the Refill Light is on, unplug the unit, remove the empty tank, refill, and replace.

Tip: For easier filling, use a pitcher or a sink with a spray hose attachment.

Humidity Control

Adjusting for comfort and efficiency.

Ideal Indoor Humidity: A relative humidity between 30% and 50% is generally recommended for comfort and to minimize condensation on windows. Adjust the humidistat accordingly. If excessive moisture appears on windows, reduce the setting.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period (e.g., summer months), prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
