Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh water. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
  2. Weekly/Bi-Weekly: Deep clean tank and base.
    • Empty all water.
    • Mix a cleaning solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water.
    • Fill tank partially, swish, and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub interior with a soft brush.
    • Rinse thoroughly multiple times with clean water.
    • Clean the base's water reservoir and mist chamber with the same solution and a cloth.
  3. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and storage.

CAUTION! Do not immerse base unit in water. Do not use harsh chemicals, detergents, or abrasives.

Replacing the Filter

The filter should be replaced every 1-2 months or when visibly coated with deposits, to maintain efficiency and reduce white dust.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Open the filter compartment on the base.
  3. Remove the old filter and discard it.
  4. Soak the new filter (Model HF-50 or equivalent) in cool water for 15 minutes.
  5. Insert the damp filter into the compartment, ensuring it sits flat.
  6. Reassemble the unit and refill with water.

Tip: Using distilled water or a demineralization cartridge can extend filter life.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Automatically powers down the unit when the water level is too low, preventing damage from dry operation.

Tip-Over Protection: Designed to minimize leakage if tipped over.

Low Water Indicator: Mist output will decrease and eventually stop, signaling it's time to refill.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts as described in Section 7.
  3. Allow all components to air dry completely.
  4. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store with a used filter installed.
  5. Reassemble the unit and store in its original box or a clean, dry place.
