Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place unit on a level, stable floor surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Install the wick filter: Remove from plastic bag and insert into the filter frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  3. Fill the water tank: Carry tank to water source, remove cap, fill with cool tap water, replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank: Position tank back onto the base, ensuring it clicks into place.
  5. Plug into a grounded 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not place on carpet or uneven surfaces. Keep at least 12 inches away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.

Access all functions via the digital control panel on the front of the unit.

Filling and Water Use

Use cool tap water. Do not use hot water or add any chemicals, fragrances, or softeners.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit before refilling.
  2. Remove the water tank by lifting it off the base.
  3. Carry to sink, remove the cap, and fill with water.
  4. Replace cap tightly and return tank to base.
  5. Plug in and turn on. The REFILL light will turn off.

Tip: For best performance, refill tank before it is completely empty. Frequency depends on fan speed and room humidity.

Maintenance & Filter Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and air quality.

  1. Wick Filter: Replace every 1-3 months during use, or when mineral deposits are visible or filter appears stiff. The FILTER CHANGE light is a reminder.
  2. To replace: Turn off and unplug. Remove tank. Pull old filter out of frame. Insert new filter (Honeywell #HE365). Do not rinse or reuse old filters.
  3. General: Keep exterior clean. Ensure air inlet and outlet grilles are free of dust.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance. Use only genuine Honeywell replacement filters.

Cleaning Instructions

Clean the water tank and base periodically to prevent scale and microbial growth.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank and wick filter.
  2. Tank: Empty any remaining water. Clean interior with a mixture of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Scrub with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and air dry.
  3. Base: Wipe the reservoir inside the base with a vinegar/water solution. Do not submerge the base in water. Wipe dry.
  4. Reassemble with a clean, dry tank and a new or clean filter.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. Never immerse the motor unit in water.

Seasonal Storage

If not using for an extended period (e.g., summer months):

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the water tank and base as described above. Allow all parts to dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard the used wick filter.
  4. Store the unit in its original box or a clean, dry place.
  5. Do not store with a filter installed.

Note: Always install a new filter at the start of the next season.
